I often yell at my refrigerator. Here, I said it. But that’s not all on me! It lacks patience. I open it to see what’s inside, and keep standing there for a while, considering what I feel like eating. Then, it starts beeping to let me know it’s open, scaring me.
At first, the beeping isn’t too annoying, but the longer it stays open, the more frequent the beeping. And at that point, I’ve decided what I’m eating. I’m just slowly taking it out, because I can’t carry everything on one trip. That’s when the beeping becomes personal to me. The refrigerator is no longer alerting me that it’s open. It’s rushing me to move faster. Well, dear, that’s the max speed. Frustrated, I let it know that I’ll be done soon, but that it must work on its communication skills.
