One and Done

Laundry is a big deal for me. Unlike other housekeeping chores, I absolutely love doing laundry. The idea of putting something dirty inside a machine and getting it back clean is just relaxing. The thing is, I struggle with hanging the clothes to air dry, as my parents do at home. It requires carrying and somewhat difficult actions, and so it’s extremely time-consuming for me. Ever since I first moved out, I’ve been using a dryer.

So when it was time to figure out the laundry situation in my own apartment, it became somewhat of an existential question for me. Do I want to save myself the extra trouble of moving the clothes from the washing machine to the dryer? Turns out I very much do. Dad and I picked a combined unit, and it’s perfect. It takes its time, but once I throw in my sweaty garments, I can count on it and listen to it work in the background. To me, that’s magic.
